There is great optimism at Inter with regard to finding an agreement with Mauro Icardi over a new contract but there is still uncertainty when it comes to when the meeting with his wife/agent Wanda Icardi will take place according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Rome based newspaper speculate that the lack of news on a date for the meeting could be being used as a smokescreen to allow all the involved parties to escape the recent public tension.
Talks over a new deal have been dragging out for a number of months now with it understood that there is a big gap between supply and demand.
Wanda would like her husband to be given a new deal around the €9 million mark while Inter are not prepared to go so high.
This season Icardi has netted 14 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions and has also chipped in with three assists.
