Inter are yet to call the agent and wife of Nerazzurri captain Mauro Icardi, Wanda Nara, in order to set up a date for a meeting to discuss the terms of a contract extension, Sky Sport Italia transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, this is a deliberate and conscious decision by the club who want the turbulence of the past week to cool off before discussing the terms of a new contract. Wanda, however, on her part is waiting for the Nerazzurri to call to set up a meeting for formal negotiations to reconvene, after she declined Inter’s first offer in October.

However, Di Marzio concludes that the contacts between the parties will resume over the next few days, in order to try and reach an agreement so as to put to bed a soap opera, that has been ongoing over the past few months.
