An Analysis Of Inter’s Last Three Years Of Dealings On The Transfer Market

La Repubbica have performed an analysis on the transfer market dealings of Inter over the past three years in which they have spent no less than €140 million.

Joao Mario and Gabigol were some of the first signings made by Inter upon being taken over by Suning. Joao Mario appeared to be a flop and was sent out on loan last season and was expected to leave last Summer but has really come on to a game as of late. As for Gabigol, he is currently out on his third loan spell since joining the club.

Inter signed Roberto Gagliardini in 2017 for a sum of €22 million from Atalanta and as per the report they have spent the past few days working out what to do with him amidst interest from Fiorentina and Torino.

The big name signing of Radja Nainggolan in the most recent window is yet to live up to expectations. The Belgian has had multiple physical problems and not performed to the levels he did while at Roma. He joined in a deal worth €38 million that involved Inter sending Nicolo Zaniolo to Roma, where he has surprised many with his performances.

The report goes on to state that between Inter and their city rivals Milan, they have spent €315 million in the last three years. In that same time frame Juventus have signed Cristiano Ronaldo, Douglas Costa, Emre Can, Joao Cancelo, Mehdi Benatia, Federico Bernardeschi, Joao Cuadrado, Blaise Matuidi, Wojiech Szczesny, Rodrigo Bentancur and Mattia De Sciglio for less than that.

In terms of outgoing transfers, Inter have raised €210 million in that time and could be set to significantly raise that sum through the sale of Ivan Perisic who has interest from a few clubs.
