Inter Stand Firm – Reject Arsenal’s Latest Offer For Ivan Perisic

Inter continue to stand firm and have rejected Arsenal’s latest offer for Croatian international winger Ivan Perisic according to a report by BBC Sport.

According to the report, Arsenal have pressed hard to seal the Perisic deal and offered Inter to even pay a penalty fee if the loan move did not become permanent in the summer, but Inter are intent on guaranteeing a summer transfer.

“Arsenal informed their potential recruits that they are not in a financial position to make permanent signings this month or commit now to doing so in the summer but Inter insisted he could only leave permanently or on loan with an obligation to buy.”

This falls neatly in line with statements made by both Inter CEO Beppe Marotta as well as Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, who yesterday stated that no player with leave and no player will arrive at the club and that Inter’s transfer window is for all intents and purposes closed.
