Milan assistant manager Luigi Riccio has insisted that the Rossoneri team is in good condition despite the recent fixture congestion ahead of this weekend’s Milan derby.
“We are playing a lot of games at the moment which could maybe led to somewhat of a drop in terms of mentality but certainly not physically,” Riccio explained in an interview with the Rossoneri’s in-house TV channel Milan TV.
“The data we have shows us that the entire team is physically fine.
Riccio, who has been Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso’s right hand man for a number of years now, proceeded to discuss Inter.
“We are not thinking about Inter. We are only thinking about ourselves at the moment.
“They are a strong and competitive team, especially when they have everyone available.
He concluded the interview stating: “We will prepare the best we can and hope to reach the derby in the best condition that we can.”
