Ivan Rakitic, Edin Dzeko, Matteo Darmian and Yannick Carrasco are the four main players that Inter will attempt to sign in the Summer transfer window according to a report from Tuttosport.

The quartet are all deemed as players who could help Inter take that next leap in quality in addition to Diego Godin, who has already agreed a pre-contract to join the club.

Rakitic is the dream signing for the midfield but he might not be so easy to sign due to Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde wishing to keep him at the club.

As for Dzeko, he is seen as the ideal candidate to replace Icardi and he can also mentor Lautaro Martinez.

Inter do not intend to take up their purchase option on Cedric which has led to them chasing Darmian and they have no other right backs on their radar.

Finally, Carrasco is seen as a player who could replace Ivan Perisic if the Croatian is sold or if Inter do not redeem Keita Balde.

In terms of back-up plans, there are a few.

Mateo Kovacic and Dominik Szoboszlai are two alternatives to Rakitic in the midfield while Steven Bergwijn, Malcom, Luka Jovic and Duvan Zapata are all ideas for the attack.
