Marcelo Carracedo, the agent of River Plate defender Gonzalo Montiel, has discussed the recent media speculation linking his client with a Summer transfer window switch to Inter.

“Inter would be a dream destination for my client, just as it would be for any Argentine player. However, there is currently nothing concrete with the Nerazzurri,” Carracedo admitted in an interview with FCInterNews.it.

He was then asked what kind of price he thinks it will take a club, whether that be Inter or someone else, to take Montiel away from River Plate.

“I cannot give a transfer value to Gonzalo. We are talking about a footballer with great future prospects, who plays in one of the most important teams in South America and he is a player who has already debuted for the Argentine national team.”

22-year-old Montiel, who is primarily a right back but is capable of playing anywhere in defence, has made 18 appearances this season for River, who he is contracted to until the end of the 2020/21 season.
