Former Inter player Riccardo Ferri is convinced that based on last night’s performance, Inter can bridge the gap with Juventus.

“Inter deserved the lead at half time for the attitude that they showed on the field. Juventus were pinned back in their own half due to Inter’s aggressiveness. I liked how the whole team performed in general but in the second half spaces began to open up. It is clear that when this happens, it becomes almost impossible to stop Cristiano Ronaldo,” he said in an interview with Inter TV.

“Inter went head to head with the best team in Italy and the gap between the sides can be narrowed. I think Inter’s defence is better than Juventus’. Spalletti’s team has a lot of qualities and I am very confident for the future. The owners are ambitious and will want to improve the quality of the team on the transfer market.”

He concluded by praising Marcelo Brozovic for his performance.

“He is a world class player, he played well and I consider his performance to have been excellent.”
