Corriere della Sera have discussed the future of manager Luciano Spalletti in charge of Inter.
“The objective is clear, the future less so. Qualification for the Champions League is close but who will lead Inter next season is still to be decided,” the report begins.
Spalletti is just as likely to stay in charge at the club as he is to leave at present. Many reports have spoken on the problems sacking Spalletti would bring in terms of it being rather costly but Corriere della Sera insist that Inter will only pay the full amount if he does not find a new team within two years.
Given Spalletti has rarely spent time out of the game in his managerial career, it would appear safe to presume that while Inter will need to pay some money, they will not need to pay all of the rumoured €28 million it would take to sack him and his staff.
If Inter do decide to sack Spalletti, they have a few ideas in mind when it comes to who could replace him. One idea is Antonio Conte.
Conte has been out of work since last Summer and is looking to get back into management but Inter face reported competition from Roma for his signature.
Juventus manager Max Allegri could also become an option if he and the Bianconeri are to part ways at the end of the season.
