Inter CEO Marotta Awaiting Budget Confirmation Before Making Conte Approach

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta is having to hold off from making any move for Antonio Conte due to the fact he is yet to receive confirmation regarding the funds available from club owners Suning according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

Former Chelsea manager Conte’s name has heavily been linked with succeeding Luciano Spalletti on the Inter bench come the end of the season.

Conte is likely to command a considerably higher salary than what Spalletti currently earns at the club but if Suning are not quick in confirming the budget, Inter could lose out on the chance to bring him in.

As per the report from the broadcaster, Conte is currently evaluating his options and has made his availability known to Paris Saint Germain, where Thomas Tuchel’s future is in serious doubt despite the fact he has led them to the Ligue 1 title this term.

Conte has also drawn links to the likes of Roma whilst a possible return to Juventus has also been speculated about.
