Inter defender Milan Skriniar has shared his desire to remain at Inter among other topics in an interview with DAZN.
“My contract renewal? There is very little left to do. I want to continue at Inter. I think my future is here,” the Slovakian told the broadcaster.
He then spoke on Inter’s Champions League qualification ambitions.
“We know that if we win three of our last four games then we are there. We must immediately win in Udine. It will be a difficult match because they are playing an important match for their future but it is also important for us. We must win there.”
A number of reports have suggested that Skriniar could become a future Inter captain but he insisted that he is not thinking about the possibility of taking on the armband.
“I don’t think about this, I just think about playing. Having the captain’s armband means there is an extra responsibility to perform but even if you don’t have it, you always have to give everything on the field anyway.”
He was then asked about the toughest striker he has come up against.
“I don’t know who is the strongest because there are so many and they are all different. Ronaldo for example is very fast, then there are strikers who fight for every ball. This year perhaps the most difficult to mark was Dzeko, he is very strong.
“Every once in a while I study my opponents by watching videos, I look at their strengths and weaknesses but in the end I have to concentrate mainly on my performance.”
He concluded by discussing his lack of goals this term with him still looking to open his account.
“I miss scoring goals a lot. I’m looking to score and I’ll try to score in these last four games.”
