With transfer speculation hotting up, Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella has remained rather tight lipped about a potential Summer transfer window switch to Inter.
“My future? The club president and my agent speak about this. At the moment I think only of the national team,” he began an interview with Sky Sport.
“Will I play for Inter next season? I do not know. Whatever will be. I do not know the city of Milan all that well.”
“What would I think of a midfield of myself, Brozovic and Nainggolan as part of Antonio Conte’s Inter? It would be a nice midfield, yes.”
The 22-year-old midfielder also discussed the comparisons made between him and Daniele De Rossi as well as the comparisons to Paulo Pogba.
“De Rossi is the most similar to me in terms of characteristics. Pogba was Balon D’or worthy at Juventus and I look bad in comparison.
“In my role you have to know how to read the game and everything in advance. I have also played as a playmaker this season and it helped me to see my role as a mezzala in a different light.”
