Cagliari president Tomasso Giulini has confirmed that Nicolo Barella could very well up sticks and leave the Sardinian outfit over the course of the Summer transfer window.

Firstly he recalled the first time he watched the Italian international midfielder, who is widely regarded as one of the top prospects out there.

“I remember the first time I saw him in training among the boys, the next morning he signed his first contract because if a foreign club were to have seen them they would have been blown right away by him,” he told CagliariNews24.

He then progressed to speak on the 22-year-old who has drawn heavy links to Inter among others and his future at the club.

“We will think about his future. This could be the Summer where he make a big leap. He has a very important value and it will be down to our sporting director Marcello Carli to decide his price.”
