Standard Liege Want To Extend Inter Defender Vanheusden’s Loan For Another Year

Bruno Venanzi, the president of Standard Liege, was at Inter’s headquarters in central Milan today to hold talks with Inter over Zinho Vanheusden according to a report from Sky Sport.

The young defender has spent the previous 18 months on loan with the club in his native Belgium and they would like to extend his stay.

Venanzi met with Inter leaders today to express Standard’s desire to keep a hold of the 19-year-old prospect for a further season.

During the 2018/19 season, Vanheusden made 30 appearances across all competitions for Standard. In his 2341 minutes on the park he scored twice and also managed to grab an assist.

The Belgian youth international is one of the highest regarded players in Inter’s academy set-up and he has a contract with Inter through to the end of the 2021/22 season. He has not yet made his debut for the first team but has featured on the substitutes bench on a number of occasions.
