Inter Boss Conte Will Be Missing Nine Players For Start Of Preseason Training

Inter boss Antonio Conte could be missing up to nine first-team players when he begins pre-season training at the start of July.

Lautaro Martinez, Matias Vecino and Joao Miranda are all due to take part in this summer’s Copa America in Brazil, which finishes on 7 July, while Kwadwo Asamoah and Keita Balde will play in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic and Milan Skriniar are involved in Euro 2020 qualifiers next week and thus will have their holidays moved back slightly, while Stefan De Vrij is involved in the final stage of the UEFA Nations League.

Conte was officially unveiled as Inter’s new head coach on Friday, replacing Luciano Spalletti, and spent the weekend in Madrid with the club’s management and Suning boss Zhang Jindong.

The Italian flew back to Milan late last night and today completed his first official day of work at Inter, arriving at the club’s headquarters earlier with vice-sporting director Dario Baccin.
