Antonio Conte will turn Appiano Gentile into a no-go area for the friends and families of his new Inter players when preseason training begins in July, according to La Repubblica.
Conte visited the Pinetina for the first time on Monday after officially being appointed the club’s new head coach at the end of last week.
The Italian imposed severe restrictions on training ground access for his players’ loved ones while in charge of Bari and Juventus and he is expected to do the same in Milan.
Friends, family and other acquaintances will have dedicated periods when they can visit Appiano but will otherwise be refused entrance so as to create an environment where Inter’s players can be fully concentrated on their work.
Conte does not want any distractions within a squad that was derailed by newspaper talk and social media drama in the second half of last season.
Inter are due to renovate the players’ accommodation facilities over the summer and hope to have the work finished by the start of the new campaign.
