Antonio Conte would like a mix of homegrown talents and experienced heads in his new Inter squad, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Conte officially joined the Nerazzurri on a three-year deal last week and is set to welcome Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin to the club as his first summer signing.
However, the club are also working hard to secure deals for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella and Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa, underlining Inter’s commitment to building an Italian core in their squad.
Matteo Politano will be purchased from Sassuolo after spending the 2018-19 season on loan while Andrea Ranocchia and Roberto Gagliardini are also expected to stay put.
As far as further experienced profiles are concerned, Roma’s left-back Aleksandar Kolarov is being linked with a move to San Siro while Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny was offered to Inter recently.
Stephan Lichtsteiner worked under Conte at Juventus and is also likely to leave the Gunners this summer, but Corriere dello Sport assured there was no sign a move to Inter was imminent.
