Inter’s Pursuit Of Manchester United Striker Lukaku Depends On Icardi Leaving

Inter’s pursuit of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku could depend on the Nerazzurri’s ability to sell Mauro Icardi, according to Sport Mediaset.

Lukaku has accepted the destination and agreed a wage cut to move to Milan but United are not willing to let him go for less than €70 million.

Inter face an uphill battle to sign the Belgian striker but could step up their pursuit if they can find a buyer for Icardi, who has no future with the Nerazzurri.

Icardi’s future should become clearer by the end of June and at that point Inter will know where they stand better.

Edin Dzeko and Nicolo Barella are much closer to arriving in Milan as the summer transfer window begins to heat up.

Dzeko will arrive as soon as Inter and Roma agree which young player the Giallorossi will be receiving as part of their deal, while Barella is already looking for a home in his new city.

Inter are also due to complete the signing of 17-year-old Sochaux midfielder Lucien Agoume, having fought off the competition of Barcelona.

Elsewhere, they are in talks with Genoa over Eddy Salcedo, who should become an Inter player permanently for €8 million, and Ionut Radu, who may spend another season on loan with the Grifone.
