Lazio president Claudio Lotito has hinted he will attempt to persuade midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to stay at the club this summer.
Inter were linked with a move for the Serbian last month and while no fresh reports have emerged since, Antonio Conte is known to be fond of the 24-year-old.
Speaking to Radio Rai on Monday, Lotito vowed he would do his best to keep hold of all Lazio’s star players in the upcoming transfer window.
“Last year we declined a few offers, this year we’ll do whatever’s necessary to ensure our players have the right motivation to stay here,” he said.
“We’ve put a programme together for our club and we’ll see what’s functional in our quest to reach our objectives.
“We’ll sign the players we need based on who’s available, not because they’re a big name but because they help us carry out the project we’ve planned out.”
Juventus have also been linked with a move for Milinkovic-Savic, who scored five goals and made three assists for Lazio during the 2018-19 campaign.
