Antonio Conte will return to Milan either today or tomorrow before holding further transfer talks with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Conte has completed his first week as Inter’s new head coach and is already working tirelessly to prepare his new squad for the start of preseason training on 8 July.
The Italian will be accompanied by several members of his staff who still need to put pen to paper on their new contracts, despite his own appointment being announced on 31 May.
Inter will also use his arrival to further develop plans for the club’s summer training camp in Lugano and their subsequent tour of China.
Diego Godin, Nicolo Barella and Edin Dzeko are all expected to be officially signed before work begins ahead of the 2019-20 campaign, but the club are working on other transfer targets as well.
Federico Chiesa remains a primary aim despite Juventus currently being ahead in the race for the Fiorentina forward, with Romelu Lukaku and Valentino Lazaro also linked in recent days.
