Juventus Still Interested In Icardi But Not Keen On Dybala Swap Deal With Inter

Juventus remain strongly interested in signing Inter striker Mauro Icardi but are not keen on the idea of swapping him for Paulo Dybala, according to Tuttosport.

The Bianconeri are expected to make wholesale changes to their attacking options this summer as the club prepare to appoint Maurizio Sarri as head coach, with Mario Mandzukic and Douglas Costa likely to leave.

Icardi strikes sporting director Fabio Paratici as a great opportunity given the forward’s relatively low price tag after his fallout with Inter.

Juventus aren’t enthusiastic about the idea of swapping Icardi for Dybala, though, who could yet become a central figure in Sarri’s plans for next year.

Tuttosport also gave an updated on Juve’s pursuit of Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa, whom Inter remain interested in but are now unlikely to sign.

The paper reported Rocco Commisso’s takeover at Fiorentina is likely to slow things down as far as finalising a deal is concerned, having told supporters he wishes to keep the 21-year-old at all costs.

Commisso will struggle to keep Chiesa given the Italian has already agreed a five-year deal with Juve, but his determination to try will probably drag negotiations out for a few more weeks.
