Milan Offer €35 Million For Barella & Put Pressure On Inter

Inter are under pressure to complete a deal for Nicolo Barella quickly after Milan offered €35 million for the midfielder, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri remain clear favourites to sign the 22-year-old because the player appears to only have eyes for Inter, having agreed personal terms weeks back.

Milan’s approach for Barella will strengthen Cagliari’s bargaining hand, however, as they aim to bring Inter further towards their €50 million asking price.

“Inter and Cagliari have gone so deep into talks that it’s difficult to imagine everything will fall through when Beppe Marotta meets Giulini soon,” the Rome-based publication assured.

“When they do sit down for talks, though, Giulini will be able to show Marotta what Milan are willing to offer for Barella.

“The Rossoneri’s offer of €35 million plus around €10 million in add-ons does not satisfy Cagliari’s requests either, but it would mean Inter are obliged to up their own offer.”

Inter and Cagliari remain distant on their valuations and will need further talks to reach an agreement which satisfies everyone.
