Inter have received an approach from Sassuolo for their striker Andrea Pinamonti, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Neroverdi held talks with Inter earlier this week to sort out the final details of Matteo Politano’s permanent transfer to Milan, which will see Sassuolo recieve €20 million.
General director Giovanni Carnevali and head coach Roberto De Zerbi both registered an interest in Pinamonti, a player they had already followed last summer.
Inter are unlikely to sell the 20-year-old during this transfer window, though, given both their high asking price and their intention not to lose control of the forward.
Pinamonti was due to take part in the UEFA European Under-21 Championships this month after being called up to Gigi Di Biagio’s 23-man Italy squad.
However, the striker was forced to withdraw from the Azzurrini’s training camp after sustaining a knee injury during the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Poland.
Sky Sport last night reported Lecce were also interested in signing Pinamonti after their promotion to Serie A, albeit on loan.
