Inter & Cagliari Reach Agreement For Dimarco As Part Of Barella Deal

Inter and Cagliari have reached an agreement for defender Federico Dimarco as part of a deal for Nicolo Barella, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Dimarco will either move on loan with an option to buy or permanently, but both clubs have agreed he will be one of the players involved.

Inter are likely to include another of their young players to meet Cagliari’s €50 million asking price, with the Nerazzurri only offering €35 million in cash.

Dimarco made 13 league appearances on loan for Parma last season, scoring his only goal of the campaign in their 1-0 win against Inter at San Siro.

Talks for Barella remain in progress but the player has repeatedly reassured Inter they are the only club he is interested in joining.

Beppe Marotta will meet Cagliari owner Tommaso Giulini later this week in an attempt to finalise a deal, after talks were postponed at the weekend.

Barella created two assists on Sunday as Italy beat Spain in their opening match of this summer’s UEFA European Under-21 Championships.
