Inter & Genoa In Transfer Talks Over De La Vega, Pompetti & Rizzo

Inter are in talks with Genoa over deals for three promising young players, according to Tuttosport.

The clubs have already arranged for Inter to sign Ionut Radu and Eddie Salcedo and then loan both back to the Grifone for the 2019-20 campaign.

They are now discussing the possibility of forming a transfer alliance to sign Lanus striker Pedro De La Vega, though, while Genoa pursue Primavera players Marco Pompetti and Nicholas Rizzo.

Lanus want €10 million for De La Vega, who impressed for Argentina at the recent FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Poland and is described as ‘perfect’ for a 4-2-3-1 system.

Genoa would bring him to Italy while agreeing with Inter a sort of ‘gentleman’s agreement’, allowing the Nerazzurri a first right of refusal for any future resale.

The Rossoblu’s sporting director Stefano Capozucca is also working on deals for Pompetti and Rizzo, though, both of whom featured heavily in Inter’s run to last week’s Campionato Primavera final.

The paper did not specify whether Genoa would take the players on loan or permanently, but the latter would seem more likely.
