Manchester United have opened the door to letting Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku leave the club to join Inter, according to British broadcaster Sky Sport News.
According to the report, the two clubs are far from reaching an agreement for the former Everton striker, as Manchester United have slapped an €85 million price tag on the player.
The report quotes an unnamed source close to Inter, who confirms that the Nerazzurri are strongly interested in the player but that the Nerazzurri have to raise their offer by at least €33 million to be able to land the Belgian international.
This means, according to the report, that selling Mauro Icardi will undoubtedly help the Nerazzurri in their quest to land Lukaku.
Sky Sport Italia’s transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio also reports that Man United refuse to lower their demands and are refusing to accept any players as part payment to lower the cash part of the offer.
