Borja Valero’s agent has denied reports Fiorentina are considering resigning the Inter midfielder.
Sky Sport last night reported Vincenzo Montella wanted to bring the Spaniard back to Florence after signing him from Villarreal in 2012.
Alejandro Camano told ViolaNews.com the player still had Fiorentina in his heart but that there was ‘no possibility’ of a move at present.
“Borja is an Inter player at the moment,” Camano said.
“He still has one year on his contract and now he’s thinking about preparing for preseason training, which will be very important in determining his future.
“Fiorentina is always in his heart but there are no talks ongoing at the moment – although we know things can change in a second with the transfer market.”
Camano talked up Fiorentina’s new sporting director Daniele Prade, who helped bring Valero to Italy when he was last at the club, and confirmed Valero left because of disagreements with his predecessor Pantaleo Corvino.
“We’ve always had a great relationship with Prade, a man we believe is one of the best managers in the world,” he added.
“Borja could not have returned to Florence with Corvino because he didn’t like the midfielder.”
