Inter Could Sign Darmian If They Find Buyer For Dalbert

Inter could move for Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian if they find a buyer for Dalbert, according to Tuttosport.

The 29-year-old played for Antonio Conte with the Italian national team and played an important role in the Azzurri’s run to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, where they were beaten on penalties by Germany.

Conte appreciates Darmian’s versatility as he can play both on the left and the right of his 3-5-2 system.

Inter already made a move for him in January but they were unwilling to meet United’s asking price.

Darmian made just five league starts for United in all competitions last season, as the Red Devils finished sixth in the Premier League and reached the Champions League quarter-finals.

The full-back will have to hope Inter can sell Dalbert first, though, so Conte has space for him in the squad.

Dalbert has never repaid Inter’s €20 million investment from two summers ago and was recently linked with a return to Ligue 1.
