Antonio Conte today confirmed he was happy with how Inter’s first week of preseason training had gone.

Conte has been putting his new players through their paces in Switzerland with a series of grueling double sessions, building up to Sunday’s first friendly against Lugano.

Inter have dedicated Friday to their sponsors, with the former Chelsea and Juventus boss joining Lele Oriali attending an event earlier.

“It’s all going well, we’re very happy,” Conte told reporters.

“Let’s hope this training camp puts us in good stead for the season ahead.”

The Nerazzurri will fly out to China on Tuesday for their summer tour in Asia, where they are due to play Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Inter’s first team will meet their newest addition to the group before all of that, though, with Nicolò Barella expected to arrive in the coming hours.

Conte’s side will also face Tottenham and Valencia before the new Serie A season begins.
