Inter ‘Frozen’ By Manchester United’s €85 Million Asking Price For Lukaku

Inter were ‘frozen’ yesterday when Manchester United slapped an €85 million asking price on Romelu Lukaku, according to Corriere della Sera.

Piero Ausilio met the Red Devils for talks in London but the Nerazzurri’s sporting director will find it very difficult to sign the striker now.

Inter will take a few days to reflect on their strategy before presenting United with a formal offer for Lukaku.

Yann Karamoh’s departure for Parma yesterday should free up more funds for their pursuit of the 26-year-old, but Mauro Icardi’s refusal to leave creates a big problem.

The paper today claimed Inter have announced their candidature for the Scudetto and will battle Juventus for the Serie A title until the end.

Antonio Conte will welcome an important reinforcement later today in Nicolò Barella, who is due to sign on a €12-million loan with an obligation to buy for €25 million.

The deal with Cagliari includes a series of add-ons that could see the fee rise to €49 million, but some are dependent on Inter winning the Scudetto or the Champions League.
