Inter Defender Miranda: “It’s Time To Think About My Future”

Joao Miranda last night confirmed it was time to start considering his future, amid reports Inter want to sell the defender.

Miranda helped Brazil win the Copa America on home soil last weekend, playing 26 minutes of their semifinal victory against Argentina.

Various clubs have been linked to the centre-back, including Monaco and Marseille, but Miranda insists he has steered clear of the rumours until now.

“I tried to turn my phone off until now so I could concentrate on Brazil,” he told Yahoo! Esportes.

“Now I’ll start analysing the offers I have received and we’ll see what happens in the coming days.”

Miranda will turn 35 in September but he was convinced he still had a lot to give to the Brazilian national team.

“I think I still have the technique and physique to play,” he added.

“I can’t see myself out of the national team setup because I’m showing I can still play at a high level.

“Regardless of how much I played at the Copa America I’m in good form and I gave my contribution to the team.”
