Mauro Icardi remains uninterested in a move to Napoli despite strong interest from the Partenopei, Sky Sport confirmed tonight.

Inter would be more than arrange a deal for their former captain because Aurelio De Laurentiis is willing to meet their asking price.

However, Icardi is still waiting for Juventus to make their move and has not yet opened to the idea of signing for anyone else.

Napoli seem unlikely to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid and are looking for a high-profile signing in attack, but it remains unlikely that player will be Maurito.

The Azzurri will keep monitoring the situation regarding the 26-year-old, in the hope Juventus do not come forward and Icardi is forced to reconsider his options.

For now the striker will continue to train alone at Appiano Gentile, having been excluded from Antonio Conte’s squad for Inter’s preseason tour in Asia.

Icardi trained for 90 minutes on Tuesday morning but left before any of his teammates arrived at Appiano.
