Inter ‘Not Interested’ In Swapping Mauro Icardi For Napoli Forward Arkadiusz Milik

Inter are not interested in the idea of swapping Mauro Icardi for Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Beppe Marotta will cross paths with the Partenopei’s owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and CEO Andrea Chiavelli this afternoon, at the Lega Serie A’s headquarters in Milan.

Napoli could take the opportunity to begin talks for Icardi, or at least to make an official enquiry about the Nerazzurri’s former captain.

De Laurentiis might offer Milik as a way of lowering Inter’s initial €80 million asking price, but the Polish international is not an option that excites Marotta or Antonio Conte.

Napoli are considering accelerating their pursuit of Icardi as Juventus continue to play a waiting game for the 26-year-old.

Inter’s frosty relations with the Bianconeri could give them a hand, as well, as it means they are more inclined to give Icardi to De Laurentiis.

“Napoli therefore appear to start from an advantageous position,” Gazzetta said.

“But there’s no guarantee this will be enough, because there are a lot of obstacles to overcome before they can put pen to paper on any deal.”
