Alexis Sanchez Would Not Have Key Role At Man Utd This Season If He Didn’t Join Inter

Inter’s hopes of signing Alexis Sanchez were strengthened today by reports the Chilean is not part of Manchester United’s plans come what may.

The Times confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not intend to play the forward in United’s Premier League matches this season, preferring 18-year-old Mason Greenwood as a third striker instead.

Sanchez would only be able to play in the League Cup and Europa League if he stayed at Old Trafford, a situation described as ‘depressing for a player of his level’.

Reports elsewhere on Tuesday have suggested Inter could complete a loan deal for El Nino Maravilla as early as tonight.

Sanchez has not featured in any of United’s first three league matches under Solskjaer, which have seen them pick up four points from a possible nine.

Anthony Martial’s injury sustained against Crystal Palace on Saturday led to some fears United may call off their deal with Inter, but this does not appear to be a serious threat anymore.
