Paris Saint Germain are Mauro Icardi’s only option to secure an exit from Inter before tonight’s transfer deadline according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The French giants are in negotiations with Inter on the basis of a loan with option to buy move for the 26-year-old striker.

Inter are willing to send Icardi out on a dry loan but only if he agrees to extend his contract with the club for a further season until the end of the 2021/22 season with a slightly improved salary.

The move therefore hinges entirely on Icardi, who, as per the report, is torn between accepting the move to the Parc des Princes and staying in Milan with Inter due to the ongoing legal action he recently launched against the club.

Icardi has yet to feature whatsoever for Inter this season in competitve action having been told earlier this Summer that he was no longer deemed as part of the club’s project.
