Gazzetta dello Sport believe Inter and Juventus had the joint best transfer windows in Serie A but insist that both teams still remain unfinished.
Both clubs made several big-name signings but would also miss out on several players that they had targetted also.
Juventus’ most notable arrivals were highly-rated Matthijs De Ligt from Ajax for €75 million and Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey, who arrived on free transfers.
Juve did however miss out on Mauro Icardi. Inter were understandably reluctant to deal the Argentine to their rivals and instead dealt him to Paris Saint Germain yesterday.
Inter meanwhile broke their transfer record to bring in Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United and beat their Bianconeri rivals to his signature. Inter also managed to sign promising duo Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella as well as Diego Godin among others.
The Nerazzurri could have however done with adding a big-name midfielder to their ranks although they drew strong links to Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic over the Summer.
