Inter coach Antonio Conte is looking to join a special group of coaches who have immediately brought the Nerazzurri to three successive victories, according to Milano based newspaper la Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how previous coaches such as Leonardo, Gigi Simoni, Helenio Herrera, Heriberto Herrera, Aldo Campatelli and Albino Carraro, as well as Giuseppe Meazza and finally Luciano Spalletti have all led the club to a strong start after arriving on the Inter bench, with Conte looking set to join the historic group.
The Nerazzurri have gotten off to a strong start this championship with two wins in two games, a 4-0 victory over Lecce on opening day before beating Cagliari away two weeks ago.
The 50-year-old Italian’s team take on Udinese tonight in Milan, with a 60,000+ crowd expected in attendance as optimism for the Nerazzurri’s title ambitions begins to grow.
Conte’s next challenge will be to guide Inter out of their Champions League group, starting with next week’s game against Slavia Prague in Milan.
