Inter Spent Sixth Highest Amount Of This Year’s Champions League Participants

Inter were the sixth highest spending side of the 32 participants in this year’s Champions League over the Summer transfer window according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri spent a sum of €155 million on incoming transfers this season, over a third of which was spent on breaking the club transfer record to sign Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United.

Real Madrid spent the most of any club as they forked out no less than €355 million to bring in the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic among others.

Barcelona spent the second most as they spent €255 million, half of which was spent on bringing in Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, who are in fact the third highest spenders having spent €243.5 million.

Juventus were the highest spending Italian team having spent €188.5 million.

The lowest spending side was in fact the reigning Champions Liverpool, who spent just €1.9 million during the window.
