Massimo Carrera, Inter manager Antonio Conte’s former assistant, has praised Conte for the way he has began life in charge of the Nerazzurri, who he has led to the perfect start domestically, winning five games from five.
“I think Conte has done well. He chose Inter because it gave him the chance to start with a wide-ranging project. He is certainly has the team playing the way he wants them too, with aggressiveness, compactness and all together,” Carrera, who was most recently in charge of Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow.
He was then asked whether Juventus, where he was Conte’s assistant, remain the best team in the league or not amid claims from some who have suggested Inter have in fact overtaken them.
“Juventus have an important squad, they can afford to make a big turnover with the many games that are there, without shifting the balance of performance. They remain the team to beat in Italy.
