Tonight’s Champions League match against Barcelona will be a match for Inter’s small players, namely Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella, according to a report from Turin based news outlet Tuttosport.
“Sensi has everything to be the prototype of a player who left Barcelona’s La Masía academy. His season so far has been full of surprises. He has scored three goals and put in a series of amazing performances,” the report begins.
“Sensi is the little King Midas and Conte took him off after 65 minutes against Sampdoria which shows the manager’s attention to managing his energy ahead of the next two matches for Inter before the international break. This is why he also only played half an hour against Lazio. Sensi is the man most of all that can be used by Inter to try to put a spanner in the works for Barcelona.”
As for Barella, the report goes on to state: “Nicolò Barella who, after having gotten himself fit, has become a big game player for Inter, as proven by his performances in the Milan derby and against Lazio. Inter have their Gennaro Gattuso in him but he his much better with his feet.
“Barella is young and must be managed because he tends to waste too much energy on the pitch but he has everything to become a real pillar of this Inter side as well as the national team. Tonight is an opportunity for him to prove it.”
The report also praises Marcelo Brozovic, who will be playing alongside Sensi and Barella.
“The Croatian is irreplaceable for this Inter, as proven by the fact he has played the entirety of Inter’s six league matches. In Barcelona, he is, above all, remembered for his ‘crocodillo’ move where he lay down behind the wall at a free-kick but today he is much more well rounded and is a regista that few teams can boast in Europe.”
