Antonio Conte will deploy his Inter side in a 3-4-2-1 system for tonight’s Champions League group stage encounter away to Barcelona.
Conte has primarily used a 3-5-2 system this season but having previously succeeded against Barcelona using the 3-4-2-1 system, he is going to use it again tonight for that reason.
The formation will be just one of a few changes that he will make to the side that started in Saturday night’s 3-1 victory away to Sampdoria.
Diego Godin will return to the side having been rested as will Danilo D’Ambrosio with them replacing Alessandro Bastoni and Antonio Candreva respectively.
Roberto Gagliardini will drop out of the team and will be replaced by Nicolo Barella, who will play in the centre of the park with Marcelo Brozovic.
Alexis Sanchez and Stefano Sensi will be playing in behind lone striker Lautaro Martinez.
Predicted Inter starting XI (3-4-2-1): Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Kwadwo Asamoah; Alexis Sanchez, Stefano Sensi; Lautaro Martinez.
