Noted Journalist Sconcerti: “Inter Played Great For 70 Minutes, It Was A Complete Performance”

Mario Sconcerti has praised Inter for the way in which they performed in last night’s 2-1 defeat away to Barcelona in the Champions League.

“Inter played a great game for 70 minutes but were eventually beaten by a bad and poorly deployed Barcelona. Inter dominated the match and spent a lot of time taking advantage of their opponents mistakes. However, when Valverde put Vidal on, Inter paid for it,” he wrote in his column for Corriere della Sera.

“Inter is being born whilst Barcelona demonstrated their experience. The biggest mistake by Inter was not scoring a second goal in the first half when Barcelona could not stop the counterattack. It was a complete performance, of someone who has finished growing who is ready.”

He concluded by touching upon Inter’s match this weekend at home to arch-rivals Juventus in the first Derby D’Italia encounter of the season.

“It will be a different match against Juventus. Sarri’s team is much quicker in possession and Juventus have better players overall than Barcelona.
