Inter CEO Beppe Marotta told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia moments ago that he and Antonio Conte want to bring the Nerazzurri to the top of the footballing world, despite their Juventus past.

“Conte is the way he always is, fired up to the max, and always prepares for the matches in the right way. This is an important match with regards to the league table because it is a test for us after a good start to the season.”

“I am here at Inter, and I am happy with what I found when I arrived here. It is a different chapter in my life, this match is always an important match. I hope that we will do well.”

“Yes, [Conte may have butterflies in his stomach] because it is an important match. Juventus are the favorites but we have our strength. We are top of the league, we are highly motivated. Then you can’t erase history, our experience with Juventus was beautiful but today we are at Inter and we want to bring Inter back to where the club deserves to be. This is the right path, also thanks to the work of the management which I found here when I arrived.”
