A report from Tuttosport has taken a look into the treatment that Inter manager Antonio Conte was subjected to as he came up against his former employers for the first time since taking charge at Inter in last night’s Derby D’Italia.
Conte spent 13 years as a player for the Bianconeri and a further three years with the club as their manager between 2011-2014 and the strong travelling support gave him it tight throughout the match that saw Juventus run out 2-1 victors, a result which has allowed them to return to the top of the Serie A table.
“The Inter manager was whistled and had a couple of insulting songs sang to him from the away supporters. This followed a banner which hung outside the stadium insulting him for joining Inter after his time at Juventus. At the end of the game, the Bianconeri fans ironically chanted for Conte to join them in celebration,” the report states.
