In an interview with Argentine television station Fox Sports, Lautaro Martinez has shared his views on what he and his Argentina teammates can take from their recent international friendly with Germany.
It was a game of two halves as the two sides faced off at Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday night with Germany scoring twice in the first half before Argentine pulled things back by scoring twice in the second half.
“We need to sort out the mistakes that we made in the first half of the game and keep performing how we did in the second half. In the second half we saw a team with character,” he explained.
The 22-year-old forward then went on to celebrate what is being built in the Argentine national team.
“We go game by game, we must continue to grow. This is very important. We are forming a good team and a good group too.”
