Spanish Report States Inter Linked Vidal Won’t Leave Barcelona In January

Arturo Vidal will not be leaving Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Chilean international midfielder had drawn strong links to Inter in recent weeks and months but is now deemed an indispensible player by Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde, who has made this clear to the club hierarchy.

Vidal was finding playing time hard to come by in the early part of the season but has been playing far more regularly as of late.

The report does however refuse to rule out the possibility of the 32-year-old leaving the club come the end of the season.

Vidal’s contract with the Blaugrana is due to expire at the end of next season therefore meaning Barcelona could look to sell him off to avoid losing him for nothing.

This season Vidal has made 12 appearances across all competitions. In 486 minutes on the park, he has contributed four goals and provided one assist.
