Inter have offered Mauro Icardi to Barcelona in a bid to get the Blaugrana to forget about signing Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Spanish news outlet El Desmarque.

Barcelona have taken a keen interest in Lautaro Martinez but Inter have zero intention of letting the Argentine international depart the club.

The Catalan club are on the lookout for a replacement for veteran striker Luis Suarez and could replace the Uruguayan with another Argentine Inter striker in the shape of Icardi.

Icardi is currently out on loan at Paris Saint Germain, who have an option to sign him for €70 million, but as per the report, Inter would be willing to give Barcelona a slight discount and give 26-year-old Icardi to them for a sum of €65 million.

El Desmarque go on to add thay Barcelona have no interest in enteratining Inter’s prosposal involving Icardi having set their eyes on Lautaro.

The report does however go on to state that Icardi could still end up in Spain and move to Real Madrid, who are looking for a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.
