Roberto Gagliardini’s condition is to be evaluated after he sustained an injury to his foot in yesterday’s 2-1 win over SPAL according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian central midfielder was forced off the field of play 10 minutes from the end after hurting his foot and it now remains to be seen whether or not he will be available to manager Antonio Conte for this Friday’s match against Roma.
Conte will undoubtedly be anxious given the fact that he is already down numbers in the midfield with both Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella currently sidelined with injury problems of their own.
The report from the Roman newspaper does however state that there are no concerns over the condition of wing back Antonio Candreva, who was also forced off the field due to injury.
The Italian came off around the same time as Gagliardini did and could be seen applying an ice pack to the affected area.
