Borja Valero To Start Again In Midfield For Inter In Champions League Clash Against Barcelona

Borja Valero will start for the second consecutive match in the Champions League when Inter play host to Barcelona tomorrow night according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Due to injuries piling up in the midfield, with Roberto Gagliardini, Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi all out injured, Inter manager Antonio Conte will again call upon the 34-year-old veteran to deliver in their absence.

This comes as a result of Antonio Candreva currently suffering from back pain and Kwadwo Asamoah, who came on in midfield in the goalless draw against Roma, not doing as well as Conte would have hoped.

The report from the Roman newspaper goes on to state Danilo D’Ambrosio will start at right wing back against the Catalan club whilst Conte is yet to decide who will start between Valentino Lazaro and Cristiano Biraghi at left wing back.

Inter versus Barcelona is scheduled to kick off at 21:00 local time tomorrow.
