A swap deal between Inter and Napoli involving Matteo Politano and Fernando Llorente is still a possibility in the January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Napoli are ready to allow Amin Younes to depart the club in order to make way for Politano, who has fallen right down the pecking order at Inter this season and found himself largely limited to substitute appearances. Both Sampdoria and Werder Bremen are believed to be courting Younes.
As for Llorente, with Dries Mertens potentially departing the club due to the fact his contract is up at the end of the season, the swap deal could be held up until another striker is brought in.
The veteran Spanish forward drew strong links to Inter in the Summer prior to opting to join the Stadio San Paolo outfit. The former Spurs man has scored four goals and provided one assist in 19 appearances across all competitions.
